Psalms means "praises" in Hebrew and the book is made up of 150 individual hymns accompanied by musical instruments as prayers and praise to God.
Psalms is among the Books of Wisdom which includes Job, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes and Song of Solomon (Song of Songs).
