The Gospel of Luke, like Matthew and Mark, provides the history of Jesus plus about 35% unique content. Luke is the first book of the two-volume Luke–Acts work telling how God fullfilled his plan for the world's salvation through His son Jesus Christ. The most popular verse in Luke is: "For with God nothing shall be impossible" (1:37).
