Henry Jaynes 'Hank' Fonda (May 16, 1905 – August 12, 1982) was an American film and stage actor with a career spanning more than five decades. He was best known for his roles in such films as The Grapes of Wrath, 12 Angry Men and On Golden Pond. He is the father of actors Peter and Jane Fonda.
